Your Role
As a Family Physician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients, including:
- Conducting medical assessments and physical examinations.
- Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Developing individualized treatment and follow-up plans.
- Providing preventive care and health education.
- Managing ongoing patient care and chronic disease conditions.
- Ordering and reviewing laboratory and diagnostic investigations.
- Providing referrals to specialists and other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records.
- Communicating clearly and compassionately with patients and their families.
- Working collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- MD or equivalent medical degree.
- Eligible for registration with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).
- Eligible to practise medicine in Alberta.
- Strong clinical knowledge and sound medical judgment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to patient-centred and evidence-based care.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Previous experience in family medicine or primary care is an asset.
